Nancy Kovack

Native to Flint, Michigan, Nancy Kovack was studying at the University of Michigan at 15 she became a radio DJ when she was 16, a college grad when she was 19 and the holder of eight beauty titles by twenty. Her professional acting career began on television with New York, first as the Jackie Gleason character on "Glea Girls" as well as, later and most prominently, as a guest on The Dave Garroway Show (1953), Today (1952) and Beat the Clock (1950). Kovack's Hollywood acting career began with a stage role. She was signed on to Columbia following the completion of the show. In the years that followed she accumulated an extensive list of TV credits. The actress was also awarded the Emmy in 1969 for her part in Mannix. Kovack is famously the spouse of Zubin Mehta from the New York Philharmonic. She has claimed that she was swindled (to about $150,000) through Susan McDougal who was a key character in Whitewater. Has appeared five times on the satirical show Bewitched (1964) Three of them portrayed Darrin Stephens' humorous former love interest Sheila Summers. Her father was a General Motors executive. The couple lives in Los Angeles with her husband Zubin Mehta. In 1954, she received her degree from University of Michigan Ann Arbor in Michigan.
